The Importance of Sustainability

- Cat diesel engines are required to use ULSD (ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel with 15 ppm of sulfur or less) or ULSD blended with the following lower-carbon intensity fuels up to: 20% biodiesel FAME (fatty acid methyl ester) * or 100% renewable diesel, HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) and GTL (gas-to-liquid) fuels. - Auto Idle helps reduce unnecessary fuel burn and greenhouse gas emissions by allowing the engine to automatically go into idle mode when the machine is not working.

Cat 301.7 Price Match – Terms and Conditions
Promotion Period: 1 October 2026 to 31 October 2026, unless extended by William Adams Pty Ltd.
- The Offer
During the Promotion Period, customers who provide William Adams Pty Ltd (“William Adams”) with a genuine, current and verifiable written quotation for a comparable new 1.7 ton excavator may be eligible to have the eligible machine price matched on a new Cat 301.7 Mini Hydraulic Excavator.
The RRP of the Cat 301.7 machine only is $39,990 excluding GST.
The maximum price reduction available under this offer is $5,000 off RRP, resulting in a minimum machine price of $34,990 excluding GST.
The Price Match Offer is subject to these Terms and Conditions and approval by William Adams.
- Eligibility
The offer is available to eligible customers located in Victoria or Tasmania who purchase an eligible new Cat 301.7 excavator from William Adams during the Promotion Period.
The offer is available on new machines only and is subject to machine availability.
The Price Match Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion, discount or special pricing arrangement unless otherwise agreed by William Adams in writing.
- Competitor Quotations
To request a Price Match, the customer must provide William Adams with a genuine written quotation from a competitor that:
- is current and valid at the time the Price Match is requested;
- is issued by a legitimate machinery dealer or supplier;
- is for a new, comparable 1.7 ton excavator;
- represents a genuine like-for-like offer;
- clearly identifies the machine, model, price and included equipment or accessories;
- is a genuine offer available for purchase by the customer; and
- can be independently verified by William Adams.
William Adams reserves the right to verify the quotation with the relevant competitor or through other reasonable means before approving a Price Match.
Quotations that are expired, withdrawn, conditional, subject to undisclosed conditions or otherwise unavailable to the customer may not be accepted.
- Like-for-Like Comparison
The Price Match will be assessed on a like-for-like basis.
When determining whether a competitor quotation is comparable, William Adams may consider factors including, but not limited to:
- machine model and operating weight;
- machine specification and configuration;
- standard equipment;
- included attachments and accessories;
- freight and delivery charges;
- applicable taxes and charges;
- warranty and other inclusions; and
- any other material differences between the offers.
Where a competitor quotation includes equipment, attachments or accessories that are not included as standard with the Cat 301.7, those items may be excluded from the machine price comparison.
Hitches, buckets, couplers, attachments and other optional equipment must be separately itemised on the competitor quotation to be considered as part of the comparison.
William Adams may request further information from the customer where required to establish whether a quotation represents a genuine like-for-like offer.
- Price Match Amount
Where a competitor quotation is approved by William Adams as a genuine like-for-like offer, William Adams will match the eligible competitor machine price, subject to a maximum discount of $5,000 (ex GST) off the Cat 301.7 RRP.
For example:
Cat 301.7 machine RRP: $39,990 ex GST
Eligible competitor machine price: $37,500 ex GST
Matched Cat 301.7 machine price: $37,500 ex GST
Where the eligible competitor machine price is more than $5,000 (ex GST) below the Cat 301.7 RRP, the maximum Price Match discount of $5,000 (ex GST) applies and the Cat 301.7 machine price will be $34,990 excluding GST.
The Price Match applies to the eligible machine price only. Optional attachments, accessories, freight, delivery, finance charges and other separately chargeable items are excluded unless specifically agreed in writing by William Adams.
- Exclusions
The Price Match Offer does not apply to:
- used, ex-demonstrator, rental, clearance or second-hand machines;
- auction prices or auction purchases;
- private or non-dealer sales;
- prices that are not available to the general public;
- prices conditional upon trade-in, finance, fleet arrangements, volume purchases or other special conditions, unless William Adams determines that the conditions can reasonably be matched;
- competitor prices resulting from errors or obvious pricing mistakes;
- competitor prices that include rebates, cashback, bonuses or other incentives that cannot reasonably be replicated;
- competitor prices that cannot be independently verified;
- competitor packages containing materially different specifications or inclusions; or
- purchases made outside Victoria or Tasmania.
- Approval of Price Match
All Price Match requests are subject to approval by William Adams.
William Adams reserves the right to determine whether a competitor quotation satisfies these Terms and Conditions and whether the quotation represents a genuine like-for-like offer.
William Adams may request additional documentation or information from the customer before approving a Price Match.
The Price Match must be approved before the customer enters into a purchase agreement for the eligible Cat 301.7.
- Machine Availability
The Price Match Offer is subject to the availability of eligible Cat 301.7 machines.
William Adams does not guarantee the availability of any particular machine, specification or configuration during the Promotion Period.
- Promotion Period
The Price Match Offer commences on 1 October 2026 and ends at 11:59pm on 31 October 2026, unless William Adams extends the Promotion Period.
Any extension to the Promotion Period will be communicated by William Adams through its applicable promotional channels.
- Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, these Terms and Conditions apply in addition to any rights and remedies available to customers under applicable law.
- General
William Adams reserves the right to amend, extend or withdraw this promotion where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
William Adams reserves the right to correct any genuine administrative or pricing error relating to the promotion.
Participation in the Price Match Offer constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
