Senior Payroll Officer

Right now, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Payroll Officer to join our small but dedicated Payroll team based in Clayton.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the end to end processing of the fortnightly payroll, in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures, and Awards.
You will deliver excellence in customer service and be the expert key user of our systems (ADP Payforce/Dayforce), while actively working towards continuous improvement solutions.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring the timely and accurate, end to end payroll processing for 680+ employees on a fortnightly basis, across 5 different Awards and two states
- Month end reconciliations and reporting to the Senior Management Team
- Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and ensuring we comply with all federal and state regulations, including PAYG, Superannuation, STP Reporting and Payroll Tax
- Reviewing and auditing payroll data and reporting on findings, to ensure the payroll is accurate and compliant
- Payment of off cycle payments and terminations, including third party payments
- Provide outstanding customer service by way of regular reporting, emails and phone queries on various payroll matters

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience & attributes:
- Previous senior payroll experience in a similar role, working with an automated payroll environment - such as Dayforce, Aurion, ADP and others
- Proven skills and ability to interpret, analyse and summarise data
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working to tight time frames
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Confidence in communicating with all levels of employees and leaders
