The Cat® 3516E High Output commercial propulsion engine is built for demanding workboat operations that require fast response, sustained power and dependable performance. With high torque at low rpm, rapid throttle response and ratings up to 4023 bhp (3000 bkW), it delivers power on demand while supporting easier vessel integration and flexible emissions configurations for global operating environments.
High Power Density
Delivers 3151–4023 bhp (2350–3000 bkW) at 1800 rpm, providing the high output needed for demanding, high-load workboat duty cycles.
Low Speed Torque
Sequential turbocharging increases torque at low rpm, helping operators respond confidently during demanding maneuvering, towing and propulsion demands.
Rapid Throttle Response

Water Cooled Manifolds
