Parts Inventory Planner

Reporting to the Team Leader Senior Inventory Planner, we are looking for a Parts Inventory Planner to help with the management of branch inventory across the dealership, based at our Clayton Head office Branch.

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Regular contact with Branches, Suppliers and CAT Parts Logistics and Customer Service Team.
  • Maintenance of Parts System Master Files via Inventory Reports.
  • Setting and adjusting branch stocking levels.
  • Review and compare vendor service and products to ensure all vendors continue to meet business needs.
  • Review inventory costs to ensure best value for money.
  • Review and ordering of parts from sundry suppliers (as required).
  • Identify product or process problems and opportunities for improvement.


You will ideally have the following skills, experience & attributes:

  • Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships
  • Excellent computer skills, (applications; William Adams operating systems such as DBS, Unit 4 Financials, Support Point, MS Outlook, SIS2.0 and Analytics)
  • Highly coordinated with excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible to undertake varying work with changing priorities in a dynamic fast paced environment.
