Optometrist - Bellocchio Eyewear
Are you a passionate and experienced Optometrist looking for a role that combines cutting-edge technology, fashion-forward eyewear, and exceptional patient care? Bellocchio Eyewear in South Melbourne is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist to join our boutique practice.
About the RolePart-time position: 3 days per week, including Saturdays.
Additional hours available: From June for up to a year.
Work with advanced diagnostic technology, including OCT and DNEye (Rodenstock) equipment (experience preferred but not essential).
We are looking for a professional with at least 2 years of experience who is tech-savvy, fashionable, and has a bright personality to complement our team and deliver exceptional patient care.
Key ResponsibilitiesComprehensive Eye Examinations: Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual health, diagnose conditions, and provide tailored solutions for patients.
Prescription and Treatment: Provide accurate prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses, along with treatment recommendations when necessary.
Customer Consultation: Offer expert advice on eyewear selection, lens options, and coatings to ensure patients find the perfect solution for their needs.
Use of Advanced Technology: Perform diagnostic testing using state-of-the-art equipment such as OCT and DNEye to deliver precise results.
Patient Education: Educate patients on ocular health, eyewear care, and hygiene practices.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with dispensers and the broader team to ensure seamless patient experiences.
Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of patient information, examination findings, and prescriptions.
A qualified Optometrist with a valid optometry license in Australia.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in clinical practice.
Experience with OCT and DNEye (Rodenstock) equipment is preferred but not mandatory—training can be provided.
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach to care.
A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate diagnoses and prescriptions.
Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to modern optical tools and software systems.
