The Role

 

As a Case Manager, you’ll work with individuals, couples, and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Based in Whyalla, you’ll provide early intervention and crisis support to help people maintain safe, stable housing.

 

You’ll work across public, private, and community housing settings, supporting clients to navigate challenges, access services, and build long-term stability. You’ll also contribute to the Country North Homelessness Alliance, which promotes collaboration, cultural safety, and inclusive practice.

  • Support clients to stay housed by creating case plans, doing assessments, and risk evaluations.
  • Provide crisis support and case management for people with complex or high-risk needs.
  • Keep children safe by reporting concerns and working with Child Protection agencies.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date client records in the H2H system
  • Work with government and community services to connect clients with the services they need

What You’ll Bring

  • A degree in Social Work
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care, risk management, and support planning
  • Experience supporting people facing housing issues, family violence, or complex needs

As a Bonus

  • Background in domestic and family violence, mental health, Aboriginal family violence services, or homelessness
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive and strengths-based ways of working

Other Requirements

  • Travel within South Australia may be required
  • Participation in an after-hours on-call crisis support roster
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours on occasion
