Position Summary

  • To coordinate the workflow of the Bell Desk team, ensuring that Capella Hotel Group standards and Forbes Standards are upheld.

  • Meet and welcome all arriving guests, escorting them to reception, ensuring that their needs are satisfied, and that their luggage is swiftly sent to their rooms and their cars parked safely in the hotel's secure garage

  • Ensuring the efficient operation of the Bell Desk department, which manages guest luggage and vehicle transportation.

  • Ensures that all company brand standards are implemented and maintained at the Bell Desk.

  • Directs incoming guests to the check-in area and offers to assist with any luggage they may be carrying.

  • Ensures a prompt and accurate delivery of guests’ luggage, 24 hours a day, in line with brand standards.

  • Ensures the maintenance and cleanliness of all equipment at the Bell Desk and car park to uphold a professional image.

  • Assist in the building of an efficient team of colleagues by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.

  • Resolve guest concerns efficiently by addressing them professionally, following up with the appropriate departments, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Maintain comprehensive hotel knowledge. Become a resource for guests by being knowledgeable about all hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.

 

Talent Profile

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively in building strong guest relations. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with hotel PMS. 

  • Experience in a similar role at luxury hotels/resorts or commercial facilities. 

  • Ability to work a full-time rotating shift, including weekends and public holidays

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English. 

  • Valid working rights in Australia.
