The Energy Power Systems story began in 1992 with the amalgamation of the distributed Caterpillar engine businesses into a single national engine company.

Our core businesses are in engines, generator sets, packaged power plants, and rental equipment. All our products are fully supported by Caterpillar and through the established CAT dealer network.

William Adams Power Systems Group specialize in providing product support to the Power generation, Marine, Petroleum, and Industrial markets operating CAT engines to drive electrical generators, gas pumps, fire pumps, marine pleasure craft, commercial shipping and a host of other industrial machinery such as rock crushers and wood chippers.

Our engine support capability extends to include all non CAT engines, as well as providing our customers with a one stop shop for all engine maintenance needs.

Preventative Maintenance

We reinforce our commitment to provide our customers premium level support by offering fixed price preventative maintenance agreements to service your equipment at planned intervals and ensure it runs at its full potential which is key to lowering maintenance cost and maximizing up-time of your equipment.

 Licenses and Permits

Our technicians have all relevant licenses, permits and equipment to support all our customers from a single small engine user to a fleet engine customer operating in the most demanding work environments such as offshore petroleum operations, shipping and gas production.  Experience at William Adams Power Systems covers a range of models from 10 HP to 8000 HP in both diesel and gas powered engines.

 Power Systems Field Service

Our customers’ requirements dictate that not all service work is of a workshop nature.  Field Service work is a major part of Power Systems service capability to providing comprehensive and seamless support to our customers.  Each of our service vehicles is equipped with the necessary tooling to enable swift response to breakdowns.  Further, any requirements for specialized tooling are drawn from our tool stores at the various William Adams branches located across Victoria and Tasmania.
